GUYS! It’s been a while, I know. My blogging hasn’t really kept up to date with this whole 1 post a week thing. Let me reassure you that this is indeed for a reason. As you may know (if you’ve read the Announcements Page) I’ve got a book coming out this November! These are exciting times. These are also very busy times. Let’s just put aside the day job here and say WHOA! Things are happening fast. It feels like in the blink of an eye I’m at copy-editing stage with the book, then it’s off to formatting.
In non-editorial news, I got to see a real live draft of what my cover is going to look like. Now, I may be seriously biased on this, but it is AMAZING! I cannot wait to do a cover reveal next month. (Let me know if you want to get in on it, by the way. I’m also starting to look at literary festivals to appear at, readings to sign up for… you name it!
Okay, I promise this isn’t a shameless plug (although it kind of is). I’m not even mentioning the title. *Cough* Into the Night *Cough*
I just wanted to share with you my crazy excitement for this whole insane and wonderful process of putting out a book. I’ve always seen it from the sales side– i.e., said day job is a book rep job, but watching as this thing I’ve spent years on gets formatted all nice and pretty? Damn it’s great.
